Projects and Construction (Construction in Gyumri)
“Glendale Hills” CJSC became a winner in the first round of a competition for construction companies announced by the Government of RA within a framework of a disaster area restoration project. According to the results of the competition our company will carry out construction of Ani and Mush districts in Gyumri. On October 28, 2008 the official ceremony of the launch of the construction of apartment buildings took place. A delegation of high ranking officials headed by the President of Republic of Armenia was present at the ceremony. Within frameworks of the project on providing homes to families who were left without shelter as a result of the 1988 earthquake, “Glendale Hills” will build about 49 apartment buildings and social facilities. Out of 3030 apartments, 250 apartments will be built in Ani district while 2780 will be built in Mush district. The investment in this project is 39,000,000,000 AMD. During 400 days (starting from December 2008) in Mush district 1056 apartments will be built, while the rest 1973 apartments in Ani and Mush districts will be built during 800 days (starting from December 2008). Location of the building: Apartments are being built in Ani and Bush districts in Gyumri. Technical Details: Cast-in-block 4 storied buildings, having frame structure and 9 points seismicity, monolith flooring and multi-layer insulation. Evacuation exits are made from fire proof materials.

Looks like a great project. What about the parking situation? there seems to be very little parking for such a dense development. Are there going to be underground garages built?
Unrelated question: how much of the city (percentage wise) has been rebuilt? How much are the effects of the earthquake still felt throughout the city? |

Техно парк Гюмри
 В рамках кредитного соглашения между ЕБРР и правительством Армении договорная стоимость объявленного с целью ремонта технологического центра Гюмри составляет 1 млрд. 670 млн. драмов. В результате ремонта здания в рамках создания Гюмрийского технопарка планируется основать единый комплекс площадью в 6500 кв. метров, который будет включать в себя офисные территории, оснащенные современными инфраструктурами, научными лабораториями и аудиториями. Предусматривается, что комплекс будет сдан в эксплуатацию не позднее, чем в течение 18 месяцев. |
