You could make good times on that road, or stop at the Oak.

But the Calga Somersby section was a major improvement, ruined as it is now by the traffic levels.

The whole Tweed Heads bypass desperately needs a major resurfacing. The poor quality of the road has become particularly noticable since the Tugun Bypass was opened. The surface is simply falling apart and the whole road desperately needs to be resurfaced from Coolangatta to Banora Point.

Agreed. The entire Gold Coast section of highway from Nerang down needs to be widened and re-surfaced IMO. I drive down there all the time and I hate that bit.

How long do you think it will take to drive from BNE to SYD once its all freeway? I drove up from Syd a few weeks ago and was surprised by how quick it was. Was expecting much longer.
