Keep posting dude.

What kind of camera do you have? (Model / etc).
Alright well thanks isakres. I didn't know you could write in French

My camera is just a Sony Cyber-shot 8.1 mega pixels. It's not an ideal camera for taking pics of façades or buildings but the pics did look much better prior to uploading them to photobucket. I did opt for less resolution though so they can appear quickly on SSC.

More rowhouses in Lille suburb of La Madeleine

This one is for sale. It's nice but I am not sure I like it when they paint over brick.

I used to have a Sony Cyber Shot too (cant remember how many pixels)...but my pics were not as good as yours...maybe it was an older model or something........

Thanks for sharing them...

LILLE France - Part 20

Finishing the tour of La Madeleine suburb of Lille

Back to the main boulevard which connects La Madeleine and other suburbs with Lille. The tram I took here and back runs along this boulevard. If I remember correctly the tram runs underground on this segment.

LILLE France - Part 21

Lille currently has 2 metro lines and 2 tram lines which together provide rapid transit to Greater Lille. One of the metro lines gets very close to the Belgium border (walking distance or almost walking distance, depending who you ask) where the Belgian city of Mouscron lies. Mouscron touches the Lille urban area, easily making it part of Greater Lille since there are no more border control points between both countries.

In addition to metro and tram lines, Lille has the regional/commuter TER lines typical of most French regions that spider out to other municipalities further out in the region.

Driverless metro of Lille. This is the line that goes all the way near the Belgian border.

Here is the "border crossing" near the Lille metro station I was talking about above. Beyond France onto Belgium there is currently no Google Street View.

Souce: Google Street View

At the border line facing Belgium (Mouscron)

At the same location turning 180 degrees, facing France in the direction of the Lille metro station I mentioned earlier

In a different part of the border line: Belgium on the sunny left and France on the cloudy right.

LILLE France - Part 22

Like in all French cities, Lille could not escape the very French-looking buildings of the 18th and 19th centuries built alongside the regional Lille/Nord/Flemish styles.
