With a total area of approximately 20 hectares, the space to be developed benefits from access facilities due to the presence of converging traffic lanes that connect the different sectors of the capital.

"Thus, to carry the historical facts, we have the oral tradition, written documents, films, tapes, but also the language of form, which is therefor the principal medium," he said. He was pleased to welcome Minister of Culture and the Arts and the executive staff of the Commissioner General of the fiftieth anniversary "to launch the competition on the erection of three historic buildings in our country, namely the monument Remember, the monument of the Renaissance, the monument of the first president of the Democratic Republic of Congo. "From 1 January 2010, the torch of the fiftieth anniversary of independence will furrow, aboard a caravan, all sectors and areas of DRC, before returning June 30, 2010 around 10:00 in Kinshasa where he will be presented to the President of the Republic, Head of State ", as the GSC. It is very important to let only Congolese handle the design and construction of these symbolic monuments, it looks like the government is doing that is very good news. They need to show faith in the population.
Those old colonial monuments should either be put in a slavery museum or destroyed completely - i prefer to destroy all colonial monuments, no need to have them |

It's not hard to build that. not hard at all. they should given it to Congolese to build it. But Congolese are damn slow when it comes to building things. it would take Congolese three times more the time the Chinese Chinese :6 months, Congolese 18 months. ![]() Quote:

This monument having to measure 5 meters height and bronze will be set up to the assistance of the Democratic Republic of Korea and its erection will have to be completed before June 30, 2010. In his word of circumstance, the governor of the town of Kinshasa, André Kimbuta indicated that it pleased the Head of the State, Joseph Kabila Kabange, to issue the year 2010 of the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of the DRC "and that beyond the festivity activities, the President of the Republic would like to mark a downtime to reconstitute the collective memory of Congolese on the history of the country, on his men, its great events, its high facts since the accession to the independence until June 30, 2010. Also, the governor of the town of Kinshasa paid a tribute to the Head of State for his made promise on December 6, 2006, to honour the memory to the eminent personages which marked the history of the DRC, to the example of the mausoleums built in memory of M’zee Laurent Désiré Kabila, in Kinshasa, Joseph Kasa-Vubu, in Singini, in the province of Bas-Congo as well as the erection of the monument of Patrice Emery Lumumba in the commune of Limete, in Kinshasa. The things which Congolese could not obtain before; they obtained them between January 4, 1959 and June 30, 1960. In one year and half, the Congolese historian adds, one obtained things which one asked during ten years without success. A significant aspect, it is the role of the Congolese people, in particular of the people of Kinshasa. These people who abruptly said, at this date: "it is enough! And it is necessary that maintaining that changes completely!", he pointed out. What contrasts to the attitude of the present generation "the Congolese people of today are apathetic and passive. He accepts a whole series of things in particular the absence of work, non the payment or the delayed payment of the wages or the stage of a luxury insolates on behalf of a certain number of persons in charge. This passivity due fought Cire; because the people who fight are the people who live!", professor Elikya regretted.
