Looks like the train color scheme is decided:

I think it looks pretty good.

It's way better than Tri-Rail's tackiness, but still kind of obnoxious. I can't think of anywhere else in the country that has "is this serious?" paint jobs on train cars.

I don't like it, too much going on. I understand the sun, because it's "Sun"rail, but the simple streaks of color could do it and leave it there.

True, but that is just a pic of the locomotive. The rest of the trainset is mainly just lines/streaks of color.

Not terrible. I imagine, though, that ad campaigns will eventually cover up these designs.

That's what I mean. We can't be taken seriously with this pulling into the station. Disney has more serious trains than this.

Yeah, and a building is a building. Even if it looks like a pile of dog dung, at least it holds people. So as long as a train carries people, it doesn't matter if the paint job looks tacky or it's covered in graffiti. New York City wasted millions cleaning up their subways and accelerating the area quality of life to worldwide admiration, when they could have spent it on New Jersey's welfare instead. Your logic is bullet proof.

Sorry for my sarcasm, but I thought this project was anticipated as more than just a train.

More to the point: The paint is OK (it could be WAY worse), and in the end they are going to be wrapped in adds anyway. The most important part is not the paint, but rather the stations, location, connections, etc.

ok but now you ar exagerating, we are talking about PAINT, not the engine, speed, passenger compartments, or amount of passengers the train can hold, or the intervals between when one train leaves or another arrives.

I think it will look better in real life than in the painting...the colors will be "deeper".

Also I am a japanese so "cute" is great for me . In fact they should add a Hello Kitty on it

I hate to agree with the negativity but i do. Not a huge fan of it either. At least its nicer than TriRail.

I would prefer it to be plain white. And electric. And with trains that appear to utilize technology from the last 30 years... But it is a start.

Hopefully they can get it right when they add future light rail.

BTW - has anyone taken a look at the RailRunner in New Mexico? Apparently this is where they got their inspiration. Very similar system...

I don't like it. But, build the darn thing already and get that intermodal station at OIA with HSR...

I would prefer stainless steel with color highlights... but...
