BTW, it is interesting that in Serbia, Serbian Orthodox Church is renowned for relatively tasteful traditional architecture.

I see that most of the American examples are fare much better then most of the eastern European or Asian examples (I'm not speaking for the temples, just for the ordinary buildings).

I believe it is because Americans are pragmatic people. They don't bother with unnecessary details, instead, try to make their designs as minimalistic as possible. You can easily recognize American cities. Sidewalks are flat concrete. Buildings are pretty minimalistic and the grass is very well maintained Good ol'murica. Heck yeaahh
