Why cant we just render McKitschTeardownMansions in Lincoln park and Bucktown as off limits in these forums, I have seen VERY little of any quality higher than a suburban McMansion, and either way, It's like painting over an Van Gogh with a 5th grader's interpretation.
Um... I looked at that address on past imagery of Google Street View, and the building it replaced was just a basic clapboard house. I do partially agree the replacement house is sort of strange. It would look better with three floors.

I don't think you know what a McMansion is.

Don't come in here and attempt to lecture me on pedantry. The architect has named this project 'Beaux Arts' and for the sake of record I have chosen to maintain that convention.

The Chinese buildings just look like tacky fakes " They always manage to turn classic design into tacky crap". The Dutch & American buildings look great

I don't think you know what a McMansion is.
Ok i get it, the house that this one replaced was not as great as most of those that have been replaced in the area. Furthermore, I really do find the majority of the houses to be kitsch, and I can promise you that they are infamously referred to as Mcmansions.
