A quick question! Why are there pictures of the Ottoman Sultans hanging on the wall in Kuwait?

Kuwait was part of the Ottoman Empire, but I don't think that's why they're there...I think they just like the pictures

A fantastic mansion KWT, thank you for sharing! It's very decent in style and an apt interpretation of classical Arabian architecture.

Who was the architect? Where's the villa located and does it have an actual name? Thank you.

A small note, there is also an ottoman influence.

Of course! I'm especially glad about this example when it comes to exterior ornaments, since that is a very rare occurence, even in new classical / contemporary traditional architecture.
Our world needs more consideration of timeless art, more beauty, more ornaments.

The university campus project of the International Balkan University in Skopje, Macedonia (project design by Kiptaş Istanbul/Turkey). The International Balkan University is Turkish investment, and it's already present in Macedonia. I believe that the new campus complex features elements of the Ottoman traditional architecture. Just as a reminder, Macedonia was part of the Ottoman empire for almost five centuries.

The campus is under construction (this photo is older)

Thanks Erbse, and The-s, yes, some of the interiors have Ottoman influences but the building is inspired by the architecture of Kuwait and Central/Southern Iraq.

The example below is the Seif Palace in Kuwait City:

The villa's architects are Stanhope Gate, and the interiors are by Alidad of Mayfair. It's located in Messila, a suburb of Kuwait City.
