Kandi: Palm Plaza @Celebration is a lovely example for Neo Art Deco in the Ocean Drive fashion! That would suit Miami Beach perfectly as well.
You're most welcome, erbse. I am not aware of the hotels' architects but there is one guy I know of who is actively restoring old houses around Nepal. His website: http://www.rabindra.com.np/

As for both of the hotels, they did not experience any major damages. I'm sure they have minor issues but overall, the structures seem to be fine. Hyatt Regency, in fact, hosted many relief teams pouring into Nepal after the first quake.

From the Hampstead Community in Alabama. They have plenty of good looking new traditional structures.

As you can see it isn't all that big and has a stupid artificial lake but it is still quite nice.

Classical Architecture Education:

Georgia Tech

The MSCD is a 30 elective credit graduate level concentration, providing advanced study for those pursuing career paths in classical and traditional architectural design and planning.

The MSCD program provides instruction in the language and use of classical and vernacular design and introduces a broad range of architectural and urban precedents and methodologies for adapting relevant historical models to contemporary exigencies.

The program equips participants with the theoretical and practical skill sets to become informed and judicious practitioners of traditional design and provides a framework of general processes and principles with which to adapt and evolve traditional architecture and urban patterns to modern programmatic requirements and client markets.

It aims to foster enduring design and planning strategies by introducing resources and skills with which to study and draw upon time-tested models for purposes of informing contemporary building applications. The program provides the critical tools through which our architectural and urban heritage may be intelligently engaged, evaluated and utilized to inspire modern building practices and design solutions that sustainably enhance, amend and repair the built environment for the long term.

In addition, Georgia Tech also offers a seven-week summer program on the art and architecture of Classical Greece and Italy.

Damn if only there was more building of this stuff here in the UK, we havent learnt the lessons of the modernist 60s and 70s not to build ugly cheap buildings and now accept even cheaper poorly clad boxes with tiny windows. If I ever make my way into big money theres quite a few post war buildings in my nearest city I have my eye on for demolishing and getting someone like Peter Pennoyer to rebuild in the style of what was there before the nazi bombs fell.

Though larger swathes of Britain's old buildings weren't destroyed in the Blitz, but by British post-war planners actually. It's the same with many German cities, sadly. What the war didn't took, be sure the modernists did!
