It is even more interesting that in my region, Galicia, politicians are trying to promote modern architecture as a touristic attraction even though we only have a few nice looking moder buildings and they are spread out all over the place. It's a real shame. I'm jealous of America, the UK and even Russia.
Don't be fooled by what you see in this thread. In the U.K. there is a lot of modern trash being built, perhaps not quite as bad as those from the 60's and 70's but still very sub standard, built as cheaply as possible for maximum profit to the developers! The U.S.A also suffers from this though I think many of their modern buildings are better designed.

That is true but you still get a few nice developments. In Spain it's either no developments or crappy ones. Tbh I don't know which is better.

An interesting take on Neo Art Deco, finally completing a construction ruin that stood untouched since 1979 (the infamous Skeletor/Szkieletor):

CRACOW (Poland) | Treimorfa Tower | 102m

Residential, offices, hotel, panorama restaurant, retail

Architects: DDJM Architects from Cracow
Investors: GD&K Group, Verity Development
Investment: $150 million (€133 mln)

Resembling the Rockefeller Center courtyard somehow, great approach:

Until April 2016 (probably):

Imho, this classy and timeless New Classical highrise architecture is exactly what big Polish cities need more, instead of bland glassy nondescript modernism. Go Cracow!

Are those solar shingles or they are just enameled?
