New buildings in Frankfurt "Myliusstrasse 11" and "West Ment", finished 2014. A little futuristic but still classical inspired.

^ Seems like I missed these on the Frankfurt forum, great quality and coherent style there!

When talking about the evolution of classical architecture, this is the kind of stuff that shows a direction (albeit we should also consider ornaments imho).

New Classicism in Architecture would be the most appropriate in my opinion. I have a bunch of books regarding this kind of architecture and all of their names are "New Classicism" and its derivatives.

Well, best I think is to start up country local things.

We in Sweden have these and they are doing an impact on the debate:

http://www.arkitekturupproret.se/

and for projects:

My absence was less than intended.

I'm back with an idea and a request (and of course I will new photos here.)

As you know, there exists the Facebook site: Architecture MMXII, a page dedicated to Classical Architecture in the 21st century.

https://www.facebook.com/ArchMMXII/t...=page_internal

I'd like to expand the very notion of this thread beyond Facebook and Skyscrapercity, starting with perhaps Twitter and Instagram as a platform.

I feel like we can make a far greater reach and impact beyond the constraints of just this site.

Please post your suggestions for what you'd like to see as well as potential names for the user account or site (eg: 21st Century Architecture, New Classicism, etc)

Thanks!!

~

Classicism is a style branch of its own, also known as Neo Classicism/Neo Classical in English, which could easily be mistaken if you call it "New Classicism". We and several authors established the term New Classical for years, as it includes all classical style branches (Neo Renaissance, Gothic, Baroque, Classicism, Beaux Arts, Nouveau, Art Deco, Expressionism, etc.) that are continued and evolutionised in present times.
