That is absolutely perfect. The way it closes the gap and makes the ensemble feel whole again is also incredible. Do you by any chance know what stood there before it was turned into a parking lot?

I don't unfortunately.

I took a screenshot from Google Earth of the site pre 2008. I can't tell what it is exactly that I'm looking at lol

The one in Berlin is beautiful but it's very much modernist to me. Really sticks out in the thread.

BTW this guy has a good page explaining why McMansions are bad architecture and poor examples of neo-traditionalism, in case you wonder the difference between kitsch and actual traditional style architecture.

Who is that golden statue on these Mormon temples? Holy Mother Mormonia?

The Berlin building is quite amazing, it corresponds well with the river Spree, like some cruise ship ready to take the waters!
I think a new thread is indeed a better option, but, it's up to the whole active members of this thread to decide.

Not a new build, but a renovation; An interesting reinterpretation of 19th century ironwork...

The Dorset Festival on Queen Mother Square, Poundbury, last Saturday. These new Classical buildings were designed by Quinlan & Francis Terry Architects: Strathmore House (left) and The Duchess of Cornwall Inn (right).

The plinth for the Queen Mother Statue is under construction on Queen Mother Square.

Gotta love that red Armenian tuff. About the only problem I see with this church, and other recent Armenian churches and cathedrals, is the use of plain glass. It just doesn't work in this context. I'd prefer something with thicker framing.....

Nearly finished neo traditional architecture in Berlin, some with early modern and Art Deco influences:
