Wood originally built between 1786-1795 by Barbu Stirbei, the church was rebuilt in stone and brick with Gothic-Byzantine style in 1896. The painting was done in the Renaissance style.

You have to understand that I don't speak Romanian and the church was featured in a new construction thread. Moving forward...

Oh my god, those are spectacular.

Anyone who complains about NYC tearing down old style buildings should look at this thread every once in a while.

Do you know the adress of these row of buildings, cause if they replace a structure unlike what's standing there right now it almost can't be in the grachtengordel cause there are almost no modern buildings inside it.

Or wait a minute , you don't mean the buildings they tore down in the 70-80's to build the metro and that they then rebuilded after the works like they were before?

And do you know the adresses of the NYC rowhouses?

I don't have specifics for the Dutch buildings. The photo's were culled from the Polish forums neo historic architecture thread. There were numerous photo's of their construction, the ones you see above are of the final product.

The NYC buildings I don't have the addresses of. You 'll have to contact the architect 'Peter Pennoyer' for specifics.

This is so good! I can't believe that these two are actually new build houses. They were bulldozing houses and mansions which were even more luxurious than these. It's great to see that these styles are back again.

The buildings in Amsterdam with the names of the provinces on them are not new. I think the picture of those was just there to show what 'halsgevels' are. They are the 7 Provinciën at the Prinsengracht. Built in 1715 according to this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/4436166064/

The ones in the top two pictures are new apparently. There is a before picture in the original Polish post about them here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...postcount=1332 Edit: They are at the Bloemgracht 65. More about them here: http://www.gerose.nl/projecten/bloemgracht-65a-71/
