Please help a young swedish classical architect (he currently works for a semi-modernist-but sometimes classic inspired firm) to realise his Master project: An advanced 3D-print of never built Nobel Palace:

An attica in architecture is just the part of the building where the facade ends an the roof begins. It is not naturaly connected to any sort of ornamentation.
(Just try "Dach Attica" in google, you'll see)

We should just stop arguing. We both know exactely what the other wants to say, and we agree on it. No need for further discussion

I didn't want to argue at all, just understood "cornice" different in any given context.

Hmm expensive brands always seem to restore historical buildings very tastefully. Several other chain stores too, even starbucks has restored numerous derelict old buildings which they took occupancy in within my city and really brought life back to some streets/areas, as much as I hate chain stores they have done some good for architecture.

Why do so many of the eastern european(And American as well, in a lesser way) developments look so tacky and gaudy? It seems to be a running theme, at least going by this thread. Germans seem to do the best reconstructions, tasteful and not over the top. I think 'less is more' is definitely a good rule of thumb with this kind of building style.
