Book collection is a little odd though. Did they only purchase them based on the color of the spine?

This renovation is so substantial that it could essentially be considered a new build, inside & out.

'The interior of the house had lost its’ original features in the 1930’s when the house had been extensively remodeled to create workshops. Substantial changes were carried out to make this into a family home in keeping with the domestic character of Princelet Street. Panelled rooms have been restored to the ground and first floor reception rooms returning character, scale and proportion to this family home.'

The pilasters, wainscoting, and crown molding all appear to be new additions.

An Excellent Article:

this might be pushing the boundaries of modern and traditional but i think the overall traditional rectangle window layout and proportions with the traditional brick work can make this building "traditional"

"Damrak 70-80" finally completed. Brutalist concrete box replaced with dutch brick expressionism. Most impressing though is the passage created by three artists representing everything amsterdam. Not truly classic but figurative and new ornamentic thinking!
