So beautiful! Here in Europe/Germany old churches close and are even torn down. Left and Green politicians tried to forbid a cross being erected on top of the reconstruction of the Berlin City Palace.
A Christian building like this has become unthinkable here. In that regard I do really envy the US...

A bit postmodern "Hotel Mercure Rostov On Don Center" but I like it. A very neglected jugend low rise from 1915 was torn down and this post modern buisness hotell was built. The look is inspired by the former building. The area is filled with run down low rise classical architeture so hopefully this will revitalize the area. In Rostov on Don in southern Russia.

Good news! Paseo Cayalá will start building it's church in October! The church will be called Santa María Reina de la Familia. Here are some drawings and renders:

Code:
Diseño Arquitectónico: Pedro Godoy y María Sánchez - ESTUDIO URBANO

Right now only the back chapel is built, the rest is empty:

And here's an aerial view, courtesy of photographer Peter Flunkert

House in the Woods
Surrey, UK
https://shh.co.uk/house-in-the-wood/

SHH’s client purchased an existing property near the Devil’s Punchbowl area in Surrey, set in its own vale and surrounded by 40 acres of private land, including a lake, stream, wooded areas and formal gardens.

The brief: to refurbish the entire property and add a 2,858 sq ft rear extension to improve the interior proportions of the rooms. The commission also included the design of a new-build, 3-bed house in the grounds for additional guest accommodation.

Terracing to the rear was greatly extended and the house’s indoor pool increased by a further seven metres. SHH’s interiors team created a new light and airy interior scheme, using punchy colours and furniture to build on a neutral base palette of natural stone and light-coloured timbers.
