An abomination that totally disrespects the original. I predict it will date faster than it took to build. Certainly has no place on this thread.

The Ny-Langesund project in Norway. It is designed in the style of 18th-19th century "uthavn" (coastal towns that were built along trading routes) that are commonly found along the Norwegian south coast.

Example of such a "uthavn":

Here's an updated version of what the new building in Sundsvall might look like:

Where is this project? Is there a link to find more information about it? Thanks for posting this.

I looked it up a bit more thoroughly and it seems that a correction is in order. I mistook the building above for being an updated version of the proposed green building in the main square. This one is actually located at the crossroads between Bergsgatan and Parkgatan, and is the first of 3 buildings to be constructed there. So we can expect more of its kind! I am not sure what happened to the one on the square though, perhaps someone else could fill me in on that ...

Anyway, here's the link to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sundswalltrafastigheter

And here's their website: http://sundswall-trafastigheter.se/

They are both in Swedish though.

The National Civic Art Society and Atelier & Co released these plans to rebuild Penn Station to it's original design. It's still totally conceptual, but it's great to see something like this being considered.
Here's the project's website. http://www.rebuildpennstation.org/index.html

You're going to have a bunch of people claim that it couldn't be done, that we lack the artisans and skills required. As proven by the many large scale projects posted in this thread that's bull. Steel framing and cast stone would be the simplest way and could be done right now.

I can see all the hipster morons claiming it's "too Disneyland" and/or would "create a false sense of history," as they chomp on granola and scratch their neckbeards.

Well, the new Yale Residential Colleges have been finished for over a month. I've been meaning to post new photos of them. Behold perhaps the greatest collection of new Collegiate Gothic buildings in a decades.
