Macedonia is such a small country, does the architecture really differ that much in various regions of the country? On the pics all houses look exactly the same...

I could understand a big country, like France, Germany, Italy bringing all their region specific styles of architecture together at one place...

its similar to
Poble Espanyol
"Spanish Town") is an open-air architectural museum, located on the mountain of Montjuïc, in the city of Barcelona, Spain.
It was constructed in 1929, for the Barcelona International Exhibition, that was held in Barcelona that year.
Josep Puig i Cadafalch had the idea for the museum: a town in which the architecture, style, and culture of various locations from around Spain were preserved in a single place. The aim was to produce an "ideal model" Spanish village, a synthesis of monumental Spain. The architects that designed the town were Francesc Folguera and Ramon Reventós. In total, the town was built in 13 months, and although it was only needed for 6, for the exhibition, it was not demolished and was kept open as a museum.
The museum occupies a total area of 42,000 m2 and contains 117 buildings, with streets and squares reproduced to scale.

At first glance they may seem alike, but there are some very special characteristics that makes them different.

This kind of architecture is very common for the Balkan countries, especially for those who were part of the Ottoman Empire.

1) Your picture is far too large.
2) This modernist structure has zero relevancy to this thread.

De Immigrant Windmill, Castrolanda Colony - Castro, Paraná State, Brazil

Quote:
(...)on November 30th, 2001, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Colony Castrolanda, the memorial of Dutch immigration popularly called “The Mill”, was created. It then became the main symbol of the Colony. It is considered one of the largest windmills in the world: De Immigrant (The Immigrant) is a large monument 26 meters wide; it has two millstones able to produce up to 3,000 kg of wheat flour.
It has a curious internal architecture all wood and no nails. It is 37 meters high (from the ground to the tip of the wing upright). Visitors may climb 4 floors, and learn all about the history of the Dutch immigration. All mechanisms, gears, pins and fittings of the windmill are made almost entirely of wood. The project is signed and executed by Dutchman Jan Heijdra, an expert on windmills, as a tribute to the Dutch immigrants of the 50s that colonized the region. Besides the mill, the building houses an events center, a museum, a restaurant, a library and a crafts store.

Popova Kula Winery near the city of Demir Kapija, Macedonia. Built in the period of 2004-2005, contains many elements of the traditional architecture that you can find in Macedonia and the Balkans.

Yes it uses traditional materials, but is in no way a revival stile. So please. We should get back to just post revival architecture!

I have mixed feelings about this one. Everithing semms to be right for a revival. The elements even work with the low ceiling hights as this is typical with russian socialism.
