Lol, that guy in the light shirt, how brave he must be! Must have his own source of insulation :P.

Great pictures, lovely wintry scenes and bright sunshine, must be absolutely freezing over there. Only the mountains in the UK get that low in our cold weather, and even then it's not that common nowadays.

Very nice!

The guy probably works in the store and just came out for a sec. Possibly the store is also way overheated and he needed to cool down a little. I really hate it, as a customer, when I'm dressed for -20 degrees and it's like 90 inside and the employees are all dressed like for the beach.

Wow, I think I wouldn't stand up to -20C even for just a sec... I'd put a coat on before getting out.
I liven in a mostly tropical country and I almost die when it's close to 0C, can't imagine how -20 would be.

There are Brazilians in my neighborhood, some of them are friends of mine. My friends live in that house.

That guy works in that store. He went outside for a moment and then went back in. If you go outside dressed like that it doesn't feel cold for the first minute.

The first bit of winter feels really cold but after a few days you get used to it. After a couple of weeks like this if it warms back up to freezing it almost feels warm. When it warms back up to 0c you will see people walking around with their jackets unbuttoned, comfortable in the weather.

One of the things about living in Minneapolis is that we get both 40c and -30c every year, it is a taste of both worlds - an extreme continental climate. In some years it gets colder or warmer than that. We get to see every type of weather. When it is really cold it is usually at night and it is like walking on the moon, the snow squeaks like styrofoam rubbing on itself. Ice and snow become a mineral. Fog and high humidity at that temperature manifests itself as little individual ice crystals floating everywhere. It is like the night is garnished with little pieces of glitter in the air everywhere that you see when it reflects in the light, it is an awesome and beautiful side of nature to see. But you don't want to be outside for too long when it is like that. That type of cold is colder than your freezer.

Thanks for the comments everyone. If people enjoy the photos it is always nice if they say something.
