Dear Nazrey,

By showing the pics of Class 81, 82 and 83 EMUs, have you answered babystan's query on the frequency of KTM Komuter ?

Fyi, KTM Komuter runs at 20 minz interval on non-peak hours. the fare from Sentral to Megamall is just RM 1 if i am not mistaken.

And if there's anyone who can verify this map of proposed routes in Klang Valley ? I read about Minister of Federal Territory Mohd Isa Samad abt his plan of 500 km of mrt and 380 stations by the year 2020. Is Kepong and Jinjang penalised again and don't get any lines because they voted the wrong candidate into parliament ? Is this the finalised version ?

What you guys think about Penang's proposed routes for light monorail then ? Having the interchange in Ayer Itam instead of Georgetown is weird. Gurney Drive, Burmah Road and Jelutong are not covered, why ?

You might not know this but Nazrey isn't Malaysian (he's Thai). Thanks for the info.....the reason why Nazrey did not answer to babystan's question is probably due to his limited comprehension of the English language. Have a heart......

I wouldn't be able to answer that myself as I seldom been on KTM Komuter thus my knowledge on that is limited

I dun think this is the finalised version

I'll check for ya if Jinjang and Kepong is included as I am not too sure of that myself. And even if it isn't, I don't think it has anything to do with politics. Cheras and Seputeh contituency had been the opposition stronghold for donkey years and these places do have a proper proposal in place for the metro expansion. Kepong and Jinjang probably isn't an exception ....maybe because of unfavourable demographics?

Does KTM Kommuter serve KL only or the whole of West Malaysia?

It looks like a ''subway/metro'' system. So Starline wasn't the first ''metro'' system to be built in KL huh.

The lines serve KL-Rawang to the north, Port Klang to the west and Seremban to the south in Klang Valley metro.

It's more of a metro system because of the ticketing system and seating arrangements.

yes....KTM Komuter is the first metro system for KL. Many hyped Starline because it is purposed built as a metro system while KTM Komuter runs on the normal railway line.

So KTM Kommuter shares the railway tracks with the normal KTM intercity services?

KTM Intercity and KTM Komuter run on different tracks...different entities...they have different platforms at KL Sentral..

I was kinda confused about the new electrified route Rawang to Ipoh.. is it part of KTM intercity non-electrified one???? So how about the southern route KL to Seremban?
