I am very happy with the new interchange. But, I guess as I don't live in KL, it is not relevant.

But on several trips to KL, I absolutely hated having to fight my way around KL Sentral, get down to the bus level with my bag, then walk around broken footpaths etc, to get to Jalan Tun Sambanthan, hike along JTS, try and buy a ticket, get through the barrier, hump my luggage up to the platform, and finally get on a train to Bukit Bintang. And all this in the heat and humidity of KL.

When I came last December, getting off the KLIA Express, walking through Sentral to the entrance to Nu Sentral, and then on to the walkway to the Monorail station, was an absolute joy. It was all so easy, much faster, more comfortable, and in comfort out of the weather.

Sadly, I feel you are very hard to please.

Does KL Sentral have a bus level? I remember seeing a 'coach level' but I never see buses there!

I think placing a mall in between two ends of a station is annoying for customers who just want to change trains. Building a mall is okay at an airport where passengers will need to wait for an hour or so, not in an interchange where the transfer could be done in a couple of minutes if there was no shopping mall.

Sorry, by bus I meant coach. It is where the Air Asia coaches leave, along with other airport coaches etc.

Understand your annoyance, but maybe you need to ask why the decision was made to terminate at Jalan Tun Sambanthan, and not extend across to Sentral. I suspect it was because they could not get access across the land.

But I still maintain the new access arrangement via Nu Sentral is still much, much better than the old way.

I found out at the Wikipedia article for the Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line that the car length for the MRT's trains (over the coupler) could be between 18.6 m and 20.1 m. That is actually shorter than I initially thought; my initial estimates of the cars' lengths were 22 m, 25 m or 28 m.
