edit: okey I look into the master plan view of each project and westown seems smaller. for estimation I would say westown will be done by 2015-2020 anyone agree?

As for the completion of Westown, what are you saying?? Im sure it will be done way before 2015, Im guessing late 2012, 2013 by the latest

I mean madiantiy start construction 2008 I think they didn't even finish there residential area I know it's bigger but try and compare about I might say 2013-2014 if they have already started or they going to start .

Guys, I think Madinaty and Westwon is like comparing apples and oranges.

Madinaty is a masterplan, to accomodate a range of clientele and residents, whilst adding valuable infrastructure, becuase its a whole new city which accomodates 600,000 people. Westown only accomodates 40,000 people.

Westown's main aim isnt to be a city master plan like Madinaty, but like a resedential compound with office space, restaurants, and hotels, like a new distric of the 6th of October area. It also has beautiful futuristic designs.

I love both projects, but its hard to compare them both, they are quite different.

I kind of agree with egypt69. I just want to note that most the stuff in madinaty thread is the residential area. just check there downtown, business park, hospitals, parks, hotels, water park many others. each project have it's unique style and that what I like about them both. and generally projects in Egypt. The way urban is presented in Egypt is very unique what I mean by that not everything is similar, there is variation in the projects type and projects style some are green some are very modern some are tall some are wide some of them are renovation and others are brand new therefore you don't get bored from it easily you just going to enjoy your time 24/7 you don't see that every where in the world other urban cities are impressive from first impression just stay mouth or two and you going to be the most bored guy ever.
