Delawarean Andrew Gemmell is in the finals for the 400 IM at Olympic Trials tonight. You can watch the Trials on NBC at 8 PM tonight (and all week).

Andrew Gemmell got 4th place in the 400 IM! Great swim for him! Unfortunately, the top 2 go to the Olympics. Gemmell has a legitimate chance at making the Olympic team in the 1500, which I believe is next Monday.

Make sure you watch the Olympic Trials on NBC tonight and tomorrow night. Two Delawareans are in finals these nights. Kaitlyn Jones swims in the 200 back tonight, and Andrew Gemmell swims in the 1500 free tomorrow night. Gemmell is seeded first in the 1500 (top two go to London), and he put up the fastest time in the world for 2012 in prelims.

Delaware has a minor league basketball team! The Delaware 87ers, the affiliate for the Philadelphia 76ers, will begin play in November in Newark.
