nice post...as seen on google maps : http://maps.google.com/maps?q=tarama...N&hl=en&tab=wl

this development will be HUGE compared to the existing tidel park I. any word on tidel II that was supposed to be coming up near the american school. i know there was some issue with DLF getting the SEZ status for it.

Thanks for the updates!!! Even though its good that the number of comprehensive townships goes up in Chennai, I never understood the need for this? Will it be really good to have this? Because I never realized which company wanted to start its operations here. I would never like to here that its another project that was scaled down.

And again neither a professional can afford to buy a house here due to ex-orbitant prices. Wats correct? I might be wrong. So please enlighten me!!

And still there is no master plan released for this project!

Tata Realty & Infrastructure (TRIL), which is setting up an IT SEZ in Chennai in Joint Venture with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and Indian Hotels Company Ltd, expects to receive the Board of Approvals nod for its proposed hotel project to come up in the non-processing area of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

TRIL is also putting up a 1,500-seater international convention centre on the insistence of TIDCO, which laid down the norms while inviting bids for the IT SEZ. Such a centre needs to be supported by a hotel with matching standards in order to make it successful.

The Rs 3,500-crore SEZ project, which has been notified as an IT/ITeS SEZ, includes development of 2.84 million sq ft of IT space in phases and 0.9 million sq ft of non-processing area, comprising 2.7 lakh sq ft retail space, a 1,500-seater convention centre and 150 high-end residential apartments.

The photos are really fine. TRIL will change the cityscape profoundly. Tatas touch nothing which they do not adorn.Full praise to them.

maybe TN govt/S Rly should pay the Tatas some money to make the MRTS stations in this stretch look better?? On one side of the road we have beautiful buildings which is marred by these stations and a smelly canal
