I think that was true for the old airport which is already closed.

I would say dangerous is the wrong choice of word. Interesting yes but what is dangereous about airports such as Gibraltar, Madeira, Barra or Princess Juliana?

ps Barra Airport is not an International Airport. Barra Airport is in Scotland and it only has two flights each day, both to Glasgow International.

Nice Airport, France:

I have landed there 3 times, very close to the water. However they have had very few accidents.

I don't agree with this list!

What about:
- Rio de Janeiro - Santos Dumont, Brazil?
- Paro, Butan?
- Merida, Venezuela?
- La Paz, Bolivia?
- London City, UK?
- Quito, Ecuador?
- Tegucigalpa, Honduras?
- Cuzco, Peru?
- Kai Tak, Hong Kong?

And many many others?

whats dangerous about barra?, id say the most dangerous is heathrow, the slightest bit of fog and all the flights are canceled, and they only have 2 runways, yeah dangerous.

Paro in Bhutan must be one of the most dangerous airports in the world as only around 7 pilots are licensed to fly there...

Also Baguio Airport in the Philippines...

Nice looks quite ideal on that photo. No obstacles at all in approach and takeoff. Why should it be dangerous?

There you go!! Happy holidays!!

- Rio de Janeiro - Santos Dumont, Brazil
Short runway aligned with the Sugar Loaf mountain

- Paro, Butan
Craved in a Himalayan valley

- Merida, Venezuela
Craved in a mountain valley

- La Paz, Bolivia
Among the highest in the world, elevation of about 14000ft - a hell of take off
image hosted on flickr

- London City, UK
Feel aircraft are allowed to land there, due to the strong descent ramp to avoid the city buildings

- Quito, Ecuador
Very elevated, around 9000ft high, and surrounded by mountain peaks

- Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Short runway, and lots of mountains - see above posted video

- Cuzco, Peru
In an Andean Mountain valey

- Kai Tak, Hong Kong
Plenty of photos in previous posts! It's not operational any more!
