And (as I can see) trams have rather comfortable seats (as opposed to Sassari's Sirio); so (since last sunday) there is another reason to visit Florenz
Oh,BTW: do city transport organizers have some idea, how to save tram-tracks from car drivers?I know it's not Naples,but...

I've been to Florence few days ago (and I loved it, of course)... Unfortunately, I spoted the tramways last night during my stay there, so I didn't ride in them (but I did take some night shots ).

I have few questions:

Are the trams in the "ataf & Li-nea" sistem? Are the tickets the same (what price?)? Since I read somewhere that Florence already had tram network, is the new sistem identical to the previous one? When did the city make decision to re-introduce them and how long did the project last? How much did it cost?

Thanks.

I know this is not the perfect thread for this but I don't know where to post, so I'll just have it here. Anyway, I would just like to ask what's the name of this cute bus that Florence use. Thanks for any replies.

Tracklaying underway on Florence LRT Line 2
Friday, May 08, 2015

THE mayor of Florence Mr Dario Nardella visited the district of Novoli on April 30 to view progress on the construction of the city's second light rail line and mark the laying of the first 100m of track

Starting at San Marco Square in the city centre, Line 2 will run to the city's main station, Santa Maria Novella, where it will interchange with Line 1 and the future Line 3, before continuing west to serve Florence Belfiore high-speed station and Peretola Airport
