Those are grass lah (some very tall species) ....not spring onions heheheheIt is part of the design to rejulvinate the interior which IMO looks fresher and nicer. Those are real grass and they have to replaced em every now and then

Wah.....Starhill really that boring meh Actually the only thing that attracts me is The Lounge which the price is same as Starbucks or Coffee Bean but offer a much better ambience and environment Apart from that, I wouldn't say that place is boring or dislike it for any other reason apart from that the things there are too expensive for me hahaha. A great place for window shopping IMO

^ I think flowers would looked kinda tacky in there. The previous management (before YTL) did put some flowers there (artificial ones) and it is HORRIBLE! They have different colours for diff floors - YUCKS!

Starhill Gallery: Luxury redefined
The Star, 30 July 2005 By TEE LIN DEE STARHILL Gallery officially swings open its brand new glossy doors with aplomb today amid a new concept, swanky architecture and iconic flair. With RM250mil spent on this extravagant refurbishment, great aspirations are touted for this upmarket shopping complex. Called "A Gallery of Rich Experiences", each floor bears an individual name to reinforce the five senses – Feast, Indulge, Adorn, Explore, Relish, Pamper and Muse, one will discover a whole new sophistication in shopping. "Starhill Gallery caters to a unique market, the higher end of the consumer market," says Danielle Pearce, General Manager (Operations) of Starhill Gallery. "Other retail places are everything to everyone, but over here, we're offering an intimate shopping area where service is very personalised. We don't have floor directories here, but we do have a concierge like five-star hotels." Indeed Starhill houses a unique mix of tenants, with exclusive brands spread over 280,000 square feet of retail space. There are over 70 brands for fine luxury watches itself, giving the address further credence to its pedigree. In fact, many brands are exclusive only to Starhill Gallery, like Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Kenzo. "YTL Corporation Managing Director Tan Sri Francis Yeoh had a vision that Starhill can become an icon. He didn't want the shopping experience to be boring. "He repositioned Starhill along with lnterbrand, one of the most successful brand managers in the world, noted for turning around the Selfridge brand. Apart from that, the architect Kawai was brought in for the genius architecture you now see in Starhill," says Pearce. Great potential abounds for Starhill Gallery, as the posh edifice is flanked by two five-star hotels, the JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. As a matter of fact, a bridge was built to link The Ritz-Carlton with Starhill last August, another move to encourage hotel guests to patronise the gallery. "There are lots of money in Malaysia and plenty of Malaysians are travelling. The way I see it, there is a demand, but no product. Tan Sri saw an opportunity within the luxury goods segment. "People were jumping on planes to get luxury goods. If you want the latest Louis Vuitton or Fendi bag, why should you have to fly to another country? Why can't you do it right here? The quality of the retail game has to be lifted," says Pearce. There is a vacuum for more personalised service for the more educated people. It is mass shopping everywhere, but there are people who may want to shop discreetly. Starhill Gallery is the answer. Starhill Gallery aims to be the place to see and to be seen. It hopes to be what the Champs Elysees of Paris is to KL here. It is a celebration of the latest and best from international fashion, art, beauty, food and living. "People are knowledgeable in brands, and they don't mind investing. All around the world, people don't mind paying money for quality," continues Pearce. Still. Are the sentiments for the retail performance in Starhill Gallery positive despite the economic and political backdrop lately? Pearce thinks so. "Principals of exclusive brands are investing heavily in Starhill. For example Jaeger-LeCoultre, the prestigious watch manufacturer is opening its largest boutique in the world right here at Starhill Gallery.. "The way I see it, with the demand and the level of sophistication that exists here, growth is most likely for the luxury goods industry. We've had SARS, wars and the tsunami, but still this industry experiences growth. "Exclusive brands are great entities by themselves. But they need the right place to showcase them. At Starhill, we work with the best brands," says Pearce. And sure enough. One of the new exclusive brands that has made its address here is Korloff. It is the owner of the largest black diamond in the world at 88 carats. One more thing, it's not all shopping here as food critics will tell you. The Feast Village is one of the seven-themed floors that is part of the new Starhill Gallery. Designed to look like a village with its wooden planks and meandering pebbled floors, restaurants are left with gaping walls and ambiguous borders, so a sense of festive air and provincial warmth pervades. Kawai, the architect flexes his creative talent here by bringing ethnic and rustic themes alive. Some of the restaurants include Sentidos Tapas, Pak Loh Chiu Chow, Luk YuTeahouse, Fisherman's Cove, Tarbush, Jake's Charbroiled Steakhouse and Shook! Pearce personally recommends Jake's for their fine vegetarian meals. All F&B outlets open till 1am so the hours can be whiled away languorously. "We have a few years to catch up before we can become the fashion place like Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, or the Champs-Elysees in Pairs, but we learn from the best, and we take the best components. I believe we can get there, but I'm just not sure when," laughs Pearce. Starhil Gallery – A Gallery of Rich Experiences

Love the whole dining scene. But I didnt managed to find this so called unique wash room nonetheless
