Protein Shop and the Ethics are attracting some good customers. But definitely not a place to hangout

Look at those potholes and muddy water on that road in the previous picture.

I assume that is a fairly new road in front of a new building construction. How in the world potholes can develop that fast there? They spent that much money but can’t make something better.

This is the problem with these Indians. They never do things in proper way.

They don't have work ethics and proper tools, on the top of that the cheating of contractors on every aspect.

Is it WE MART or VMART

Like this

Varkeys is agressively making a comeback... I think, they might sacrifice the Varkeys as a brand and make all into VMART, to give a new feel and discard the bad experience of Varkeys Brand.....

Varkeys is a recognized brand, so I don't think they will change that. Moreover, they have already started the 'comeback' under the brand.

Why they have to disguise like that man.... If they wish, they can come in by registering as an Indian company... You are talking about an international brand.... Not some local Mukkan's company to come as Murukkan and Co.....

i mean, not disguised by Walmart .. may be by any local malayee, there is similar supermarket at kaloor called "Well Mart" and another at gandhinagar called "Will Mart" run by locals.. and now "we mart"
There is only a less chance of changing the brand name Varkeys to "we mart"

Textile brand Atmosphere clicks on the e-commerce route
Quote:
Atmosphere, the flagship home textile brand of Himatsingka Seide, plans to tap into new overseas markets through the e-commerce route, while continuing to expand with its brick-and-mortar stores in the country.

“E-commerce would help us in studying the markets abroad. We expect to reach out to 35 countries through this medium,” said Akansha Himatsingka, Director, Himatsingka Wovens.

The company has recently inaugurated its new e-commerce site — atmospheredirect.com, claiming to be the first store for luxury furnishings in India.

Atmosphere already has stores in places such as Dubai and Singapore, but does not plan to add more in the international markets. With slowing retail growth in the overseas markets, the vertically integrated textile company would rather focus on expanding within the country.

“In the last two years, we have been slow in opening new stores, but we are pressing on the pedal for growth and would be adding 8-10 stores in the next two years in States such as Rajasthan. There would also be more stores in tier two cities such as Cochin and Chandigarh,” said Himatsingka.

Himatsingka Seide entered the domestic textile market through the Atmosphere stores in 2003 with products such as upholstery and drapes. It also appointed a new creative agency – Red Lion, to handle the Atmosphere brand. In 2007, it entered the bed linen segment extending it to other categories such as duvet sets and pillow cases. It is now looking at stretching its ‘made up’ offerings even further into the home accessories segment.

Atmosphere does have competitors in the home luxury textile segment, but believes in being different with its silk-based offerings. “Most of the existing upholstery players such as D’ décor use synthetic materials, while we are into silk-based fabrics,” he said.

Yes but this looks much more elegant than even Gold Souk and Oberon mall. A food court and gaming zone will attract more customers. Though I dont think there is space for a multiplex.

It it was there then it will give Sridhar a run for money.

Varkeys in Vazhakkala has been replaced by Priyam mart which is also there in Thripunithura.

By the way Nilgiris is opening shortly in Chittethukara near CSEZ. Seaport airport road is evolving into a hot shopping and dining destination with Max Lifestyle, and so many restaurants where we get Pizza, Chinese etc.

That is more of a 'problem' when it comes to widen that road.

The stretch between Infopark Expway and Collectorate is going to be a shopping high street eventually.

The authorities should have thought of that and done the needful long time back.
