City's first BRT line will also be opened by late December:
I had read line 2 North (Airport line) is now under testing. I wasn't unsure if it was already open after I slipped with Xi'an last month (But I wasn't that off).

BTW, I see they have renamed Haiyang Leyuan to Guobo Zhongxin Bei. 'Bei' is at the end of the name, and as such 'North' should be at the end too, not at the start as it suggests there are two 'International Expo Centers' instead of just one. And indeed, there is a Nan/South counterpart which is the next station towards Dongfeng Gongsi.

Awesome decoration in Hanzheng Jie Sta.

Photoed by @ForCoffeeLover

Line 6 of Wuhan Metro will open in 28th Dec .
Some cleaning work needed , but the decoration of Hanzheng Jie is one of the best in China .

Station name carving on the marble .

Traditional wood carving on railing of stairs and pillar.

Bamboo bed style benches on the platform .

Sky stimulation and traditional Chinese county house in ticket hall .

The first section of line 11, from Guanggu Huoche Zhan (i.e. railway station) to Zuoling Xincheng, may open as early as June 2017. It would be good news if confirmed, it was originally set to open in 2018. Regardless of the opening date line 11 will be isolated from the rest of the network as line 2 won't be extended from Guanggu Guangchang until 2019.

I like the unique decoration of Hanzheng Jie Station. Do other stations in Line 6 have similar designs?

Wuhan Metro Reached a Ridership peak on December 24, 2016

2.6310 million people rode the subway that day. The busiest station in the network is Optical Valley Square with a daily usage of 200,000 passengers.

http://hb.people.com.cn/n2/2016/1226...-29512158.html

However, I heard that on Dec 30 the Wuhan Metro carried 2.8249 million passengers breaking the record again. I expect that today on the 31st the record will be rebroken yet again.

Out of all cities that opened some metro at the end of the (Gregorian) year, Wuhan is the only one I have yet to see photos of the new lines (Line 6 and North extension of line 2). Instead I've got to see a BRT, which I'm not interested.

About the Tram in Wuhan: there are now pictures of two different LRV ... the white one and the one with some red mark. So, we are having two separate lines open? Can someone confirm it is line 1 and line 6?

There are 2 networks opening, one in Hanyang (red trams) and one in the Optics Valley (white trams).

Wuhan Metro on April 1 reached a daily ridership milestone of 3.1 million trips. I guess that was an April Fools joke because the next day 3.14 million trips where made on the Wuhan Metro.
