High speed railway

The metro is described as limited to mere 80 km/h.

Where, on this map, are the stations of Chengdu-Dujiangyan high speed railway, which allows 220 km/h?

The suburban HSR has on its 67 km length, stations including Anjing, Xipu East, Xipu (to be terminus of Line 2 in September 2012), Hongguangzhen. Pi County East, Pi County, Pi County West, Ande, Chongyi, Juyuan, Dujiangyan, Zhongxing, Qingchengshan.

Should any other slow speed metro lines be built to connect to high speed railway stations?

Apart from the Juyuan-Lidui Park branch line, should any other high speed suburban railways be built to the suburbs of Chengdu?

No, according to the plans it will have 298 km by 2020 with still a couple of lines left to be constructed. So my prediction is around 350-400 km by 2030.

The stations are beautiful!!! I like the fact these stations resemble (most like assisted by) the Hong Kong MTR. Easy to get around and very efficient which is what I noticed with the Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai metros. Only problem back in 2010 was that Shenzhen metro didn't have English signage in some stations. I got around ok though.
