NEW YORK CITY | Hearst Tower | 182m | 597ft | 46 fl | Com

I'm sure some of you remember this project, it's currently under construction.

Stats:

Building Height: 597 ft (182 m)
Number of storeys: 42 (including the 6 story base)

The architect is Norman Foster, this is his first project ever in NYC.

The tower is being built atop the Hearst Magazine Building, a 6 story landmark built in 1928.

Hmm

Nice, i like this tower. It's my favorite of all that's going up in NY (architecturally) other than Calatrava's WTC station.

I think it really fits in with the current skyline. It looks great inside from the renderings!

Yeah...this is one of the best designs for NYC at this moment. Look at that lobby! IMPRESSIVE! Foster has done good work on this one!

The 6-storey 1928 edifice and entrance which the N.Y.C. Foster tower is obviously being placed within - The Depression squelched Hearst's plan to erect a high-rise on top of it....

R u kiddin me?, I dont consider 597 ft "short" lah...but if it's in New York skyline, the surrounding will make it looks shorter than it should be....

most significant Fosters construction for now. Very neat.
Love the areal view of the site with all the cranes ! superb work, it looks like a very challenging construction site judging by the narowness of it.
