My neighbor is from Suffolk County. He really looks down on those from Nassau County; says they're to blame for the "Strong Island" stereotype.
![]() This uninformed Upstater's perspective on NYC regional stereotypes: * Westchester County: upper middle income WASP except for Yonkers and New Rochelle. * Rockland/Orange Counties: Orthodox Jewish shetls. * Connecticut: very, very wealthy, except Bridgeport. * Nassau County: Guidos, more assimilated Italian-Americans, well-off Jews. Great Neck is ground zero for the stereotypical Jewish princess. More new money. * Suffolk County: WASP. * New Jersey: Guidos, Portuguese, Indians.
