You have a good sense for decoration btw

Thanks to all who have shared so far and thanks to those who will in the future ( get snapping guys )

Samsung won't disappoint you. All my TV and Pc screens are samsung and I'm really happy with them.

Btw, you have a good sense for decoration

@Tuten - kudos to your dad then, it's really great looking!
Heck yeah! It's a cheap Emerson VHS player (there's a Sony DVD player on top of it). My humble movie collection does include some tapes.

The duck is sort of a long story.

My office setup:

Normally I would have an LCD monitor, but my 19" Proview is dead (backlight went).

Nah, that big bunch of cable is my cat 5 cable. It's a fifty foot cord (needed it in my old place) but now it only needs to travel about ten feet.

As far as computer setups go, there's nothing more impressive than this Flickr user's.

BTW I'd love to hear and see what set ups people have at home.. TVs.. computer desk.. hi-fi etc etc so don't be shy
Don't have a set up at home because I'm mostly not there; I've got a 13" MBP, an HTC phone and some sort of plasma TV at home.

My 13" MBP at some wreck hotel --

A typical boring situation in which I'm usually listening to music on my HTC Touch HD.
It has a 3.5mm jack, so I can just plug in my Senheisser earphones and tune into the groove --

Home - no computer, just a TV and shoes a one night stand left like two months ago (damn I hate doing girls) --

I wonder if "3d tv" will ever become popular Panasonic seems to think so.

Panasonic envisions high 3-D TV sales in U.S.

Quote:
Panasonic Corp. expects to sell as many as 1 million 3-D TVs in the next year in the United States, Europe and Japan.
The company will begin shipping in March, Yoshi Yamada, Panasonic's North American chairman and chief executive officer, said Friday in an interview. Prices haven't been set. The U.S. will be the biggest market.

Adoption of three-dimensional TV, which requires viewers to wear special glasses, will be faster than the acceptance of high-definition TV because more films, programs and games will be available, Yamada said. Panasonic is actively seeking material from Hollywood and was a promotional partner in James Cameron's 3-D film "Avatar."

"We learned a lot of lessons," Yamada said at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Sony Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. have also said that they plan to introduce 3-D sets.

Panasonic, which introduced four 3-D Viera plasma TVs ranging in size from 50 to 65 inches, announced a partnership with DirecTV Group Inc., the largest U.S. satellite TV service, to promote three 3-D channels that will begin operating in June.

Panasonic, which doesn't have an ownership stake in the channels, plans to promote the programming in retail and other advertising, Yamada said. Marketing will also target DirecTV's 18 million subscribers, which he said includes 10 million customers with set-top boxes than can receive 3-D shows.

Panasonic and other TV makers charged too much for early high-definition TVs, Yamada said. The company is working to avoid that pitfall this time, he said, without being more specific.

The TVs will come with one set of 3-D glasses, which Panasonic will also sell separately for those who want more, he said.

To stoke demand for the sets, Panasonic also announced at the show it will begin selling a 3-D high-definition camcorder and a Blu-ray player.

"What we have learned in selling high-definition sets is that the picture is what sells it," Yamada said. "When people see it in 3-D, they say 'wow.' "

I love apple keyboards too. The keys are really responsive and the the minimalist design is exactly what I was looking for .... I'm shocked that no other company designs keyboards like these ... there has to be a market for people like me who just want a keyboard for their laptop when it is set a bit deeper back into the desk. I bought the full sized on for my laptop:

I absolutely love it. Sometimes I wish that I had bought the blue tooth version but the wired one is surprisingly not inconvenient at all for my usage.

I work as a networking specialist for a commercial company that provides communications infrastructure and solutions to enterprises. It was a mostly technical job in the beginning, but with time I got "promoted" and now my job is mostly PR oriented. I maintain relations with our current clients, whether by phone, by mail or by traveling to their office. I meet with their management, to which I explain the benefits of the product we're providing and make sure their demands are better met, and from time to time I also give lectures to their staff on relevant topics.

It's a fun job mostly. I get to travel quite often, and although some of our clients aren't easy, the challenges are manageable.

As some may know there's a lot of speculation and and indication that we will see a new iPhone model this year and maybe even as soon as April...

There is of course nothing official out yet, but there are some really cool speculated renderings and this one is certainly one I would love to see come true

Wow FREKI, this does look like a spring chicken for a change. Slim, borderless design with matte back and darker trim. This concept fixes everything that's currently wrong with the iPhone. I'd love if it came out like that.

3D TV will only be successful once they figure out how to make it work without the need for glasses.

They have already done that, but it requires you to be located directly in front of the screen and that ain't no good for families..

Personally I don't mind the glasses, but I don't see much for a need for 3D TVs

I'll gladly have it for console games and perhaps a movie or two - but for normal TV it's not a must have for me and for the effect to be really good people will need much larger screens than today..
