Berliner Snapshots.

A week in Berlin: sunny, cloudy, foggy and snowy.
But whatever the weather, Berlin is gorgeous!...

I love it.
However it looks sad on those photos, Berlin is still the most beautiful and modern city in Europe.

Very nice Pics of Berlin, interesting and unseen angles. And you got what it is all about: showing the diversity of history breathing streets containing the old new, ugly and beautiful. Very good job

33. is stunning - I walked there a hundred times, but you made the picture really showing the cruelty of this "memorial"

70. is very funny: The photograph under his umbrella ella eh eh :P

Brilliant variety of shots. Berlin is a model example to all European cities of how rejuvenation and restoration can completely revive/transform a city!

Berlin usually is sooo gloomy in winter but it's looks a lot more friendly with snow.

Great pics.

Great photos! The ones of the Church being destroyed though are very sad. That WAS the Church of the Reconciliation, correct? Very sad and a bit ironic.

Yes, I think so. They built a new and modern one some years ago.

Quote:
This church continued to stand along this stretch of Death Strip from the beginnings of the wall in 1961, until the spire was toppled and the church was demolished in 1985, only four years before the wall itself was dismantled. The Chapel of the Reconciliation, a few photos along in this set, now sits of the church's former foundation.
