What is metro Hong Kong?

Hong Kong doesn't have a metro area. Population is 7 million.

He's probably combining Shenzhen (8.6 million) and Hong Kong (7.0 million) together. They're separate entities, but there are future integration plans:

In Section 114 of the policy address on 10 October 2007, Donald Tsang, Hong Kong Chief Executive, stated:

Jointly developing a world-class metropolis with Shenzhen: In my Election Platform, I have put forward the vision of developing the Hong Kong-Shenzhen metropolis and undertaken to strengthen our co-operation. My proposals met with positive responses from the Shenzhen authorities. We share a common goal and have had some preliminary exchange of views. Currently, we are discussing airport collaboration and the development of the Lok Ma Chau Loop.

I thought that would be the case, but it's pretty absurd since they are two entirely separate cities. You need to pass through immigration to go from Shenzhen to HK and vice versa. There is relatively little commuting from one city to the other. There are a bunch of other major differences (judicial system, primary languages, freedoms, etc.) which complicate the merging of these two cities - if it ever happens. The point is, Shenzhen is not Hong Kong's metro.

But anyways, HK - Shenzhen would have a kick ass skyline.

Don't forget their CBDs are also miles apart, not to mention the Hongers are driving on the wrong side of the streets.

Hong Kong will eventually fully integrate into the rest of China. That will probably involve switching to driving on the right. I found data online that says the distance between the 2 is 27 km which is also the distance between Mississauga and downtown Toronto. Do these statistics seem accurate to you?

It's nothing more than an opinion, people. I don't necessarily agree with his choice, but I respect it

I don't think sydney and melbourne in the top 5 world skyline. There are many asian city better than those two in term of skyline. if u don't agree, go to 'you tube' and type 20 best skyline in the world 2010.

Dude, an 8 year old could post a top 20 on youtube. Youtube is just someone's opinion as well. If someone wants to put Winnipeg or Hamburg in their top 5, that's fine.

in my opinion, toronto skyline is not in top 5. I think there are other cities that are better than toronto such as tokyo, seoul, sezhen, gounzhou, bangkok which are 100000000000times better.
