The slabs are very thin, it makes me doubt that they are safe in case of an earthquake, I sincerely hope I'm wrong and think that they are well planned

The resistance in case of earthquake has not much to do with the thickness of the slabs. For that I can see, it has a robust concrete central core, that is supose to take most of horizontal forces. To suport the slabs, there are columns in the perimeter that seems well linked to the central core by a net of steel beams.
Anyway, I think Milan isn't in a earthquake zone, i mean a strong one.
