it isn't Lisbon. Lisbon doesn't have mountains like those, and even the buildings are diferent.

the city is real... but that moon...

btw... I think this website probably belongs to a portuguese girl (LUA=MOON, but LUA is always a female word (like in german, portuguese has "female" and "male" words due to the articles that precede them (in german, der, die, das). I think the website owner found the picture because she only looks for pictures which show a big moon... and she THOUGHT it was Lisboa.

other images of Florianopolis

this one is from the other side of the channel, in the island, over one of those hills seen in the back of the city in the night picture. There are two bridges, the suspended one, seen in the night picture, is the right one here. Its an old bridge and its not used anymore. Just a postal card.

one of the many beaches in the island. The island is called Santa Catarina (like the state) but the Florianópolis municipality occupies the whole island, which is some 60km in lenght from north-south. There are urban areas around the island, all of them belonging to the city.

updated picture of the city. Notice there are many more highrises than in the first larger picture!

sat pic. As you can see, most of the urban area is located in the continent.

Florianópolis (yesterday's city) is the capital of my state, some 1 hour and 30 minutes away from here
