I don't know if it's just the photos but this looks absolutely massive. The floor plates look more like something you'd see in an office building rather than a residential building.

Is it just me, or is this thing going up ridiculously fast?

I was playing dungeons & dragons at the 401games right opposite it on Yonge street three or four months ago; I remember looking out the third-floor window of the building during a break and seeing it stick out like five or six stories above the podium

It's going around 4 floors a month, so very fast by Toronto standards. It's now officially half-way in floor count too!

With all these projects toronto will have more 200m+ towers than chicago in the near future!

If Toronto can keep the boom going for just another year it will happen. 16 built or under construction with another 16 proposed.

Which is impressive considering how Chicago's metro area population is some 50% bigger than Toronto's. Chicago's gone quiet in recent years in terms of skyscraper construction. I'm thinking the financial crisis hit Chicago harder than other large western cities.

Taken yesterday.

Aura has hit the half-way mark. We now await the setbacks and full curtainwall on the upper portions.

Most exciting when...

"Aura reaches the 59th floor and construction commences on 16 levels of “executive suites” and five floors of penthouse and sub-penthouse residences"

Well Canada has been building skyscrapers for about 125 years. We built our first one in 1887.
