Oh yes. Those are "sports partnerships" in which Turkish Airlines is spreading its brand to other things than just the airlines, most prominently football and basketball teams. It has also endorsed Kobe Bryant (of the LA Lakers) to be an ambassador for the airline as well.

Yes it does, but sadly, at the moment, it appears to be limited since Air Canada is the principal carrier that operates between Toronto and Istanbul, and the codeshare in Canada might be limited because Turkish Airlines and Air Canada have not yet extended its codesharing service beyond Toronto at the moment. Read here for more information.

Turkish Airlines is named as the "Best Airline in Europe" for the third year, after 2011 and 2012, by the customers at the 2013 "World Airline Awards" organized by Startrax.

Does anybody know whether TK avoids Armenian airspace. I always see them bypass Armenia and take a longer route. I though that maybe it's because of the relations between the two countries but other airlines from Turkey like Onur go through Armenia, while Armavia flies through Turkish airspace. I hope someone has the answer.

TK's livery looks great on the T7. The T7's will help TK's expansion. Maybe they will fly one of those into BOS or ATL.

Does the latest B77W order of 5 frames replace the Jet Airways aircraft on lease or further expansion?

This looks really impressive. To me it's slightly more impressive than Emirates in terms of coverage/destinations though have to work more on frequency.

Emirates has 28 weekly flights to KUL yet Turkish only 4 weekly flights here. Turkey is popular tourist destination for M'sians

Turkish Airlines is planning to launch new direct flights to Boston, beginning May 12, 2014.

Quote:
Turkish Airlines to launch Boston-Istanbul flight at Logan Airport
By Katie Johnston, Globe Staff

Turkish Airlines will start flying between Boston and Istanbul in May of 2014, establishing Logan International Airport’s only nonstop service to the Middle East and opening up India and Africa to local travelers who would otherwise have to connect in the United States. The flight, which will be five days a week at first and then move to daily service, will be on a twin-aisle, 289-seat Airbus A330. More than 29,000 people flew between Boston and Istanbul in 2012, and local demand is higher for several destinations that Turkish Airlines serves from its Istanbul hub, including Tel Aviv, Athens, Mumbai, and Delhi. Beirut, Dubai, Nairobi, and Johannesburg are also popular cities for Boston travelers.

Turkish Airlines has grown rapidly, with a nearly 26 percent increase in global ticket sales from January to June of this year compared to last year. US ticket sales to Turkey have increased 10 percent.
