yeah i find it strange how the dozen or so 300m-500m skyscrapers are only metres away from each other. basically blocking views all directions. the 516m pentominium is still yet to rise at the rear of this block.insane

the tops save the overall designs.
any of these on the worlds tallest block would be a landmark in our cities.

It is a shame they have to cluster good towers in the one area. If they were spread out, they would look awesome.

Gotta agree with this, I went to Surfers in January and most of the towers there actually have style in them, it's really green, and there are loads of marinas and man-made islands, Chevron and Q1 for example really stand out - yeah sure, they do have their fair share of boring white fridges but it's nowhere near as bad as Dubai.

Perth should hurry up with the next 300m+, we are getting bored of Central Park (250m)

Anyone else notice the tower on the left that 'spins'? Now imagine that in Australia.

Isn't that just copied from the original one in Europe?

"Spinning" towers seem to be all-the-rage of late. I personally find them nauseating.

WHOA! My head jerked back from the screen when I saw this!

Talk about suburban sprawl being ugly. What about aerial sprawl?

These are like, "McTowers".

I love the twisting tower, personally I think it looks great.

That picture above however shows that there really is such a thing as too much development. It just looks ridiculous.

the smallest tower in that block is 200m.anyone of these would be landmark towers in australian cities. placing them in a cluster really does take away there design merit.
there 40mx 40m floor plates are basically same but rely on the top of the bluilding to create its individuality. the tallest in that block in that pic is princess tower which is now 350m, but eventually 414m. the curved tower far left is 310m. higher then eureka but looks like nothing.

They're all ugly though. Honestly, I'd rather have one of the disgusting 70's Mainbeach/Surfers Paradise buildings over one of them - at least then you can say you live in an ugly building because it's old.

I wouldn't even want to step out on that balcony without a harness.
