i absolutely love the lincoln modern! it was in the papers that it was grossly overpriced - like 500k over valuation.. but who could not succumb to the philippe starck toilets and double height ceilings!

The Lincoln Modern is just one example of many stunning modern skyscrapers in the district.Perhaps someone should take the time to take pictures of them?

Yes. The Projects section is for newly announced/ under construction projects where we want to follow their progress.

It would be good to ensure that a building is completed before creating a thread in this section. Its also good to have some pics ready. This will be merged with the skyscrapers thread soon.

The Concourse

This octogonal multi-faceted building stands 174.4m tall alongside Beach Road ,at 43 storeys tall. The tower is an office tower ,the podium holds a shopping mall and serviced apartments.

A bridge links the serviced apartments to the office tower.

I guess the multi-faceted facade has something to do with feng shui ; Jalan Sultan 'runs directly' into it?

It very well might be, although it seems more to be inspired by kelongs with those stilts?

Where is that huge night picture of this building?

Wasn't it inspired by a stack of coins?

Anyway, i really love this building, though i think it looks a tad weird. It's very visible from my school.

Hmm...maybe they are thinking of stacking the higher denomination coins on top of smaller ones?

This building is similar in many ways to Taipei 101.

But Taipei 101 was more influenced by pagodas, while this one is influenced by kelongs?
