That's because urbanrail map wasn't updated yet - on 4th July this year, C-3 service restored to Valencia Nord station, but instead of direct connection, trains are arrived at Fuente San Luis, before arriving to Nord station. A long detour, unfortunately

The current urbanrail.net map still doesn't show the connection. It's a bit hard to visualize since Fuente San Luis appears to be southeast of Valencia Nord while Sant Isidre is then northwest of Fuente San Luis. So does the line loop back on itself?

The official Cercanías map is of no help since it shows northbound trains as proceeding directly north out of Valencia Nord, when in fact they have to go south and east before turning north.

Are there any metro extensions planned?

Both the urbanrail and Cercanías Renfe maps are up to date and correct.
Don't know why you say the urbanrail map isn't correct. It is.

Yes, there's a reversal at Valencia-Fuente de San Luis.

That's because it's a map, it's made to simplify things.
Not all maps have to always be 100% geographically accurate.

Not for the short term.

The urbanrail map appears to have been updated since I looked at it earlier today. It no longer shows Sant Isidre as a terminal station. I suspect either the urbanrail editor is monitoring these threads or the moderator of this thread alerted urbanrail.

Following up on this, I now see there are two versions of the Valencia map on urbanrail.

If you go here, you'll see the "new" version (Sant Isidre is not a terminal): http://www.urbanrail.net/eu/es/val/valencia.htm

If you go here, it's the "old" version (Sant Isidre is a terminal):

Both versions appear to be now updated.

I've alerted urbanrail about extension. So it's true

Bad news, unfortunately.

Valencia's regional government is in a very bad financial situation. Currently they're not able to fund this project, not even its southern part between the train station and the harbor, where works were quite advanced when they were suspended in 2011.

According to some press articles, completing that stretch, which includes both underground and surface sections, would have a cost of €100 million, while the regional minister of public works announced recently that the cost was of €190 million (maybe she was referring to the whole line). In any event, that's considered unaffordable right now.

Some pictures of the abandoned works:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Besides, 800 meters of L1 will be put underground between Empalme and Burjassot stations (not including the stations themselves). The tunnel was completed in 2011, but at that time there were not even funds to install the tracks, electrification and the rest of equipment.

It seems the regional government is now willing to complete the project next year.

COMMUTER RAIL (Cercanías Renfe) | Requena station upgrade.

Requena station, on Cercanías Renfe line C3, will be upgraded.

It will have higher, longer platform, and a new LED lighting system.

As you can see on the images, currently it is in bad state, with low platform (which on a narrow bend is a serious hándicap), bad lighting, and overall a bit rundown:
