Yeah I know it seems suspicious (only 6 minutes), but I promise you I didn't cheat. I entered in french google pictures "montagne village tours", that can be translated in english as "mountain village towers", and I saw it quickly. That's pure chance...

I really don't see the point of cheating, I am honest, trust me. :-)

well, alex, in a way that's cheating. The name of the Game here is GUESS The CITY ...NOT Google the (city). Anybody can do that.

The point is to stretch one's guestimating and cognitive faculties -- without any technological aids. Otherwise, where's the fun??

It's also a BIG turn-off for people who want to post challenging images.

(When I guessed San Francisco on another thread, it's BECAUSE I used to live in SF...which is why I guessed it immediately. Not because I GOOGLED it.

OK I didn't know, I let you post another one, and from now I'll put some suggestions without googling. I guessed this village was in the East of Europe, and as I was very interested to know where it was, I searched in Google with keywords.

Knitemplar it is perfectly acceptable on this forum to use google in the way he did. What isnt allowed is the reverse image search function.

To be honest, I think Knitemplar is right with the way I found that one. It's not very grateful to have found it with some general keywords. But I agree Google can be allowed, for instance in the case where some suggestions have already been submitted. Well next time I will ask first before searching :-)

This subject has already been discussed before and the use of google or any other search engine in the way you did is widespread. What most of us here do object very strongly to is reverse image search although there is no way of knowing how anybody guessed correctly a place. We just rely on each other's honesty. Thanks for being honest.
