Troms° - Norway 1-3 January - Photos from my trip

Because of its northern location Troms° experiences polar nights for 2 months of the year so there is no sun at all from 21 November to 21 January. There is only a fable blue sky which lasts for a few hours

Beautiful town. I bet it is VERY cold in that part of the world during winter.

Not as cold as Canada. The ocean in this region moderates temperatures a lot

Despite the fact that Norway is horribly expensive (coffee and croissant 10 Euros ) I found a bargain in terms of accommodation. I stayed in this private property and I paid 350 NOK per night (42 Euros) and I had the whole place to myself. When I arrived the owner gave me the key and she left. There was cable tv, wireless internet, kitchen, etc

Very nice to see! It would have been interesting if Tromso had been successful with its attempt to host the 2018 Winter Olympics, but unfortunately the Norwegian Olympic Committee opted to withdraw the city from IOC consideration due to high costs.

Great set of pictures. It's so beautiful out there, I'm not sure If I could deal with the light conditions over there though.

64.000 and there are quite a number of immigrants despite the northern location.
On the same street I must have seen 10 kebab shops

No light for 2 months, an few light-hours for probably another 2 months of the year must be hard to deal with . I wonder if it has consequences on sleeping patterns/psyche.
