No, that's not right. The Collossus is bullshit too. It never straddled the harbour like that, it couldn't physically, the Pharos (lighthouse) in Alexandria was much less ornate, and that's not a good reproduction of the mausoleum in Halicannassus either, even though we're not sure what it looked like exactly.

The Temple of Zeus at Olympia was a wonder because of its size, but especially because how lavish it was in its material, detail and the best sculptors and architects who worked on it at the time. There are other further reasons too that make it very significant, but I'll save that for another time.

Haha yea, that's what I thought when I read his post too.

"Couldn't be further from reality" followed by "we're not sure what they looked like anyway" in the same sentence.
