Palazzo Ducale di Urbino, Marche region, a masterpiece from renaissance master artists and architects Luciano Laurana and then Francesco di Giorgio Martini

Inside you can find the Marche National Gallery, with a very rich collection of paintings from the very best names of renaissance, like Titian or Paolo Uccello.

The most famous painting might be this one:



From an anonymous painter from Florence, maybe Luciano Laurana

But there are also paintings from Raffaello, the most important author from the Renaissance in Urbino (he was born there):



Also famous paintings from Piero della Francesca are on display:





Federico da Montefeltro decorated wooden room, or "studiolo", work of Benedetto da Maiano with many other authors helping:

Villa Caldogno Nordera, attributed to Andrea Palladio, UNESCO world heritage site since 1996. Renaissance frescoes are from Giovanni Antonio Fasolo, Giovanni Battista Zelotti and Giulio Carpioni.

Build and completely frescoed by Giulio Romano renaissance artist, probably the most important follower of Raphael. This palace can be considered a sort of manifesto for a kind of mannerist art/architecture:

the famous painted "giants" of the halls of the palace:


the proper "hall of giants", 360° of frescoes, it is really dizzling!





probably the mastepiece of Giulio Romano, the "falling of the giants". You feel the ground shackling when you visit that room!
