The winter palace is, in my opinion, one of the best palaces in Europe (alongside Versailles).

...and alongside the many incredibly not so world reknown italian palazzos posted above, if you happen to havent seen palazzo pitti in florence, palazzo quirinale in rome and palazzo di caserta in naples!
