It´s a train without service in transit to line 3. It´s a 1.500V train but can run on 600V lines like 5, with less performance.

The train says "Moncloa" but the station sign says "Casa del Campo"

I'm surprised that this thread is so tiny in comparison to some of the others in this forum.

IMO, Madrid has one of the best metro systems in the world.

Casa del Campo in the line 5 terminus but normally this kind of train run on line 3 and Moncloa is the line 3 terminus.
In that photo the line 3 train was running in a line 5 station but it was out of service.

Threads were closed if it hasn't been recently updated. Chris is trying to get a unified discussion with one (or more depending on the network) main threads per city.

^it's too bad madrid's metro gets so little attention on this website. for a forum about urbanism, developer-hyped, incremental advantages like sidewalks, cycling, and historicist detailing are stressed. but madrid's very thorough and very convenient transit system is close to ignored.

Yes, it's an hurt. I love Madrid Metro, it's modern, fast, clean, efficient, safe and confortable. In my it is the best public transport system in the word but the majority of metro fans ignore it and I don't know why.

I think that Madrid forumers should advertise more about their Metro posting more pictures. I propose to do a photo gallery of all stations.
