the floor plan contain the area what they call international fashion.i hope there no more tangs,isetan..bring something else please..lotte??it should be nice..parkson will be there, and if isetan will be there also...it always copycat pavilion,suria..etc..etc..one i drove over there..the ground floor lot is very mammoth size guy...i never aspect LV to be there...but if CK,or DKNY with big street facade..it quite nice actually..i think they need to planting a lot of tree in front of it..so that it can manipulate the ugly building in front..

Thanks for the pix! The pool looks lovely. But I can't help but compare KL's skyline with Los Angeles - my favourite skyline in the world. Both cities have mountains in the backdrop but their cluster looks so darn impressive. KL's skyline looks so meh.. Are people right when they say KL's skyline is Petronas Twin Towers and nothing else? Take a look at the two and compare.. Any thoughts?

Seriously, in a fair point of view (without favoritism), isn't it obvious LA skyline kinda small/compact with less impressive architecture as compared to KL?
Yes, LA is beautiful but i think the mountain at the back outshines the skyline. With tallest building height of around that kind scale, I would say Singapore is way nicer than LA (280m vs 310m).

KL's skyline is messy and is marred by many hideous buildings like Menara Keck Seng, Menara Maybank, Berjaya Times Square. You don't see buildings like that in LA's skyline. I guess I am partial to tall slender sharp angled buildings that combine to make a jagged skyline like in LA. KL has too many squat, fat, misshapen buildings that are too scattered. And the way LA's buildings combine to make that cluster it's beautiful. KL's towers are way too spread out and you see a cluster effect only from a few angles and only if you are close up. But don't get me wrong. Being a PJ boy I want KL to excel in having a stylish standout skyline that makes people go "WOW!". That's why I joined SSC way back in 2004. Maybe the new buildings coming up may change that. Hopefully. A few more shots of how clean, sharp and stylish LA's cluster is: image hosted on flickr ![]() downtown los angeles skyline... by Joits, on Flickr ![]() ![]() ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() Los Angeles Downtown by YoNoSoyTu, on Flickr ![]()

LA skyline is small but very powerful... the oommmphh is there.
Imagine if KLCC would to have 5 more 80-storey buildings... that will be BEST!

Aww, come on people... Don't bash my adopted city....
![]() To put it in perspective, southern California is a high seismic zone and to erect even a 30 to 50 storey building will easily cost at least 10 times that of a similar tower in Malaysia. Buildings in Malaysia are only required to be designed for a lateral force of 3% of its mass, minuscule compared to SoCal's 18%!! Japan's requirements are even higher. This requires state-of-the-art foundation, geotechnical and structural engineering, more construction materials and more money! Whereas in Malaysia, a mediocre contractor could easily build a building even without much engineering input. So that's the reason why we don't have the density like NYC or Chicago, even though LA is the 2nd largest city as well as the 2nd largest metro area in the US. It may not have the best skyline but to us, this is a non-issue. You know what? We don't put too much emphasis on this anyway. We have matured to a point such that this kind of argument is for kiddies. Yes, we don't even give a hoot about when the next 100-storey building is going to be built let alone a 10-storey one. If you live here, you will see what I mean... we have outgrown all those things that Malaysians are craving about. So there you go... the truth about the state of mindset of SoCal residents... we really don't care much for tall buildings here! That's why we have the famous LA urban sprawl. 100 miles across from end to end... try topping that KL... since we are on the subject of superlative.
