Roof design from above looks chaotic but internal views are great, a real classic stadium that has developed subtle changes every few years and always been one of the best in UK even matching up against new builds. Almost the same kind of life cycle that Ibrox has had another archie leitch classico! Next up is filling in of corners.

I agree, another classic venue. The interior is a bit too chaotic for my own taste but the ability to feel the subtle changes the stadium has experienced over time is very appealing. I would love to see England win the WC bid if only to see this facility get a truly masterful renovation that finally brings everything together into a harmonious but unique stadium. Preliminary images are promising, so my fingers are crossed here.

Would also be great for the Villains and the EPL, hopefully spurring another club to even greater feats on and off the pitch.

I think this stadium has a lot of character and is beautiful. I wish they could develop the stand over the road. That would make this stadium even better. I wish Aston Villa was a more sucessfull club that it has been in the past and truly compete for the league title on a regular basis.

Anyone got any images, drawings of the proposed redevelopment of Villa Park? I know there is planning permission to rebuild the stand behind the goal (opposite the Holte End...think its called the north stand) but would be nice to see some renders...even if they are amateur mock ups. I think the new capacity is supposed to be around 52k if ever done.

Just the now standard images of the original proposal to expand the north end and renovate concourses for a capacity somewhere around 52k. I've not yet seen an interior shot of this, and I imagine the club are awaiting either Champions League play or a confirmation of the WC bid before formally pursuing the redevelopment.

One of my favorite stadiums in the world.

Shame it doesn't host cup semi-finals anymore.

Perhaps my favorite stadium. I just love how all the stands are different, but because the height of the roof is the same it looks like its all connected and its very well balanced. And you just gotta love the Holte End...

yeah although a lot of villa fans were unhappy it wasn't a one tier stand, imho it would look better like that (but then again i'd prefer it be all stand too).

I really hope villa expand but lerner seems reluctant to persevere with the plans. Especially now that it looks like they will never get 4th given that they now have to get past Manchester city and their new money first!

Outside Trinity Stand

Fans pavers - we had one made for dad here, he passed away in 2003 and had been a villa fan all his life

Behind the windows, thats the posh bit! The way to the directors box etc

Doug Ellis (former chairman) actually sent us a couple of tickets for the directors box a few years ago, its stunning in there.
